New Year

We are in a new year and a new calving season.  Our first 2017 calf arrived January 8.  We are excited to see each of the new babies as they arrive.
The 2016 heifers and bulls are growing steadily.  Our spring bull offerings were sired by the following bulls:  GQ, Capitalist, Black Granite, Resource and Upshot.  We are pleased by their quality and growth.  If you are needing a bull this spring, give us a call.  You can preview our bulls by making an appointment to visit the farm.  We will be pleased to show you the 2016 bull offerings.

Online Spring Bull Sale

Eastview Angus, Highbanks Angus and Dawson Farms have a bull evaluation project.  The bulls began together on feed in October.  They are weighed periodically to monitor weight gain.  The bulls will be sold at an online auction April 10, 2016.  Visitors are welcome to view the bulls.  Please call to set up a time for a viewing.  There will be approximately 28 bulls for sale.

Congratulations to Kyarra Blattner!!  She worked very hard and it all paid off.  Big Mac was an Amen son.  They won Grand Champion market steer at the Berlin Fair.

Spring Update

Dawson Farms had 3 bulls place in the top 25 and sell at the MSU bull test.  We sold 8 bulls from the farm.  We have 2 available for sale. The feed lot calves grew quickly over the winter.  The first one sold at 1 year and 1 week at 1250 pounds.  We only have 6 left for freezer beef.  The 2015 calf crop is off and growing.

Online Fall Heifer Sale

We will be having an online sale Sunday, October 26, 2014.  We are joining with Eastview Angus of Corunna, Indiana and Highbanks  Angus in Nashville, Michigan for an Angus female sale.  The offering will include young bred cows, bred heifers, and open heifers.  There will be an open house for viewing at Eastview Angus after October 5 (or here at Dawson Farms before October 5).  The auction is with cwcattlesales.com.  We will post more information when it is available.  Some of the possible offerings are shown below.
